In Spiritual Life
I find it much harder to obey God’s commands when I’m tired, because my will is weaker and I’m much more focused on immediate gratification. Is it a good response to just really prioritize sleep and try to avoid ever being tired? If I can help it, I don’t want to put myself in a position where I’m more likely to sim. But at the same time we see Jesus really working hard and tiring himself out to the point of sleeping through a storm on a boat, he didn’t seem to avoid tiredness. And he fasted before facing temptation in the desert, which also biologically makes self-control harder
